some random images of things I’ve made
nothing particularly recent but I think I’m free to show these now.

I sat down with the lovely folks from 3dArtist magazine for an interview recently about my work at Valve and how I got started in the industry. It’s apparently featured in issue 31 which should be hitting the shelves right about now, so, if you’re interested then you should probably buy it….. you cheap bastard.
Oh, and I’ve joined twitter so you can follow me at zzzcharlesworth if you want, it might even encourage me to post/tweet more often.
My backlog of games is getting ridiculous now, I’m currently playing FFXIII, Bayonetta, Borderlands and Demon Souls (yes, still) but have an ever growing pile of titles sat on the shelf waiting for attention.
The current list of ginger step-children include:
Forza 3
Deadly premonition
Shiren the wanderer
Fable 2
Persona 4
Brutal Legend
Infinite Space should arrive on my doorstep tomorrow and i’m not sure how much longer i’m gonna be able to resist picking up GOW3 so it’s only gonna get worst

Ok, first off… sorry to anyone who still visits this blog expecting updates, I’ve been very neglectful of it for the past year. It’s been a pretty eventful year with the birth of my wonderful son Oliver, getting married to my beautiful wife Alex and landing my dream job at Valve software.
I’m starting to get a bit of a routine back now though so hopefully with a little discipline I’ll be able to get back to creating some personal art and maybe a bit of late night blogging.
I guess I can probably start by opening up my private portfolio page as I’m pretty sure that most of the work contained within is safe to show at this point.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be asked to join the stellar lineup of artists who will be giving presentations at the conseptart.org/massiveblack show. Not sure exactly what I’m going to do yet but hopefully it’ll all come together in time :/
Be there or be somewhere else.

I’m going!!! You should too.
It’s gonna be fantastic I’m sure. I cant wait to see the presentations from Gio Nakpil and Kris Costa (who kick my arse), hopefully some of their talent will rub off on me otherwise I might just have to kill them and drink their brains…but lets not get ahead of ourselves..

This is something I’m working on at home at the moment, the model was done in Silo and Mudbox and the texturing in Bodypaint. Lots more still to do though, working on some expression blendshapes at the moment. Hair and clothing also still to come.
